See Bernadette Peters and Illustrator Hilary Knight Celebrate "Eloise" Anniversary

Rizzoli Bookstore and Simon & Schuster celebrated the 60th anniversary of "Eloise" with a Nov. 9 conversation between "Eloise" illustrator Hilary Knight and three-time Tony winner Bernadette Peters, who can be heard narrating the new "Eloise" audiobooks.

The free event was moderated by Playbill.com senior editor Andrew Gans at the Rizzoli Bookstore.

The new collection of Kay Thompson and Knight's classic "Eloise" stories — "Eloise," "Eloise in Paris," "Eloise at Christmastime" and "Eloise in Moscow" — were recently released by Simon & Schuster Audio featuring narration by stage and screen star Peters. The collection, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the very first "Eloise" publication, is available in special book and CD combinations as well as an audiobook-only collection.

Following the conversation, Knight and Peters autographed the new "Eloise" publication; Peters also signed her third children's book, "Stella and Charlie: Friends Forever."

Entertainment Weekly posted an excerpt featuring Peters reading from the classic book. Click below to listen.
